Weekly Content Recap: August 19-23, 2024

I missed last week so we’re doing a content update now, with one for this week set for Friday! We had some exciting things happening on both my gaming and regular YouTube channels, so let’s dive in!

Monday, August 19

We started off strong with another tier list! This time, we’re ranking every BUG in Animal Crossing: New Horizons. Which critter will be the king (or queen)? Click through to find out, and let me know your favorite bug in the comments!

Ranking every BUG in Animal Crossing!

A tier list on the left side with the following labels from top to bottom: S, A, B, C, and D. Each tier is represented by a different color. To the right of the tier list, there is text that reads "Bug Tier List!" in large, bold letters.

Next to the text, there is a character with brown hair, large eyes, and a small nose. The character is wearing a pink dress with a floral pattern and is holding a net over their shoulder. The background behind the character and text is black.

Wednesday is usually a day I reserve for villager home makeovers or vacation homes with Happy Home Paradise. This week, we made a smokehouse for Chabwick over at Paradise Planning, as that was his prompt and I couldn’t come up with any cool ideas of my own. As usual, these kinds of videos have a version without commentary.

The image is split diagonally into two sections. On the left side, there is a cozy, simple room with yellow wallpaper featuring a floral pattern, a wooden chair, and a potted plant. An arrow points from this room towards the right side of the image, indicating a transformation. The right side features a character from "Animal Crossing," a pink sheep wearing a red sweater adorned with flowers, who is smiling contently. The image suggests that the room has been remodeled.

On my main channel, I shared something that I originally thought would be controversial, but ended up sparking a great conversation in the comments. There seems to be a lot of in-fighting among the blind community, partly due to social media and eveyrone being able to easily hide behind their keyboards and criticize one another. I’m sure other disability groups also have this, but I’m only part of the blind community, and I decided to share my thoughts and observations.

Blind people can be criticizing of each other

A blurred figure in the background with the text "This has to stop" in large, bold, white font with a black outline. The text is centered on the image, covering most of the blurred figure. The figure appears to be pointing towards the camera.

Friday, August 23

Finally, on Thursday morning we received the news from Nintendo that they would cease support for Animal Crossing: Pocket Camp as we know it. Of course, I wanted to cover this news and speculate a little, but the more important thing was sharing the facts of what we know so far. Click through to find out all about what’s expected to happen as we dive into the FAQ on this seven-year-old game as we near its end of service.

Animal Crossing Pocket Camp is OVER! What’s next?

A promotional graphic for "Animal Crossing: Pocket Camp," with the game's logo prominently displayed on the left side. Overlaying the logo is a large, red "CANCELED" stamp. On the right side, there is a character from the game dressed in a blue and white striped summer dress and wearing a straw hat. The character appears distressed, with teardrops near their eyes.

Coming Up Next…

We’re doing another dream tour in Animal Crossing, reviving Blind Girl Kitchen on my main channel where I tried (and failed) to make a summer dessert, and more! Stick around this space too, as I’m hoping to revive my blog in addition to keeping up with posting video content.
