Weekly Content Recap: September 2-6, 2024

Happy first week of September, friends! I can’t believe summer is almost over (technically we still have a few more weeks regardless of what the pumpkin spice fans will tell you). Let’s dive right into this week’s content update!

Monday, September 2

Much like our bug tier ranking, I just had to continue the trend and rank all the fish in Animal Crossing! Let’s see which fish is the king (or queen), and

Ranking every FISH in Animal Crossing!

A graphic showing a tier list titled "Fish Tier List!" with five tiers labeled from top to bottom as S, A, B, C, and D. The tiers are color-coded with S in red, A in orange, B in gold, C in yellow, and D in light green.

There are two fish illustrations on the right side of the image. The top fish is red with a white belly and has a pattern of darker red scales. The bottom fish is green with a white belly and has a pattern of darker green scales. The text "Fish Tier List!" is positioned on the left side of the image, overlapping the tier list.

I’ve been redoing my house in Animal Crossing room by room, and in this video I really wanted to focus on the bedroom! I kept the same layout but went for a slightly different aesthetic, and a very different color palette. Check out the video below to see the full before and after!

FINALLY redoing my bedroom in Animal Crossing!

The image is divided into two sections.

On the left side, there is a room with a clothing rack. The rack has several items of clothing hanging on it, including jackets and shirts. Above the rack, there are several boxes and a floral-patterned bag. The room has beige wallpaper with a floral, art-deco design and a geometric light fixture hanging from the ceiling. There are also some hats and a handbag placed on the lower shelf of the rack.

On the right side, there is an Animal Crossing character with short brown hair wearing a light colored wide-brimmed straw hat with a white band. The character is smiling and holding a cup with a straw, which appears to contain a bubble tea drink. The character is dressed in a white top tied at the waist and a floor-length pink skirt. There is a large purple arrow pointing from the left side of the image to the right side, indicating a before and after transformation.

We are FINALLY doing a WayAround demo, showing off what WayTags are and how they’re used! WayAround is the company; WayTag is the device. I know these have been around for a while but I don’t know if there’s ever been any coverage on them, at least in recent time. So of course I did a quick little demo and I can’t wait to use these more in my daily life!

WayAround demo! Accessible NFC tag app for the blind and low vision!

A person is holding a small square object with a logo on it. The logo appears to be a stylized image of a volume speaker with a circle around it. The person's hand is in the foreground, and they are holding the object between their thumb and index finger. There is a large arrow pointing to the object, and the word "Demo!" is prominently displayed in bold letters across the image. The background shows a blurred indoor setting with various objects and furniture.

Let’s talk about Happy Home Paradise! I love this downloadable DLC and I think Nintendo did a great job integrating it into the main Animal Crossing game. I also think it’s a necessity to have as it does add a lot of gameplay!

Why you NEED Happy Home Paradise

A graphic showing a Nintendo Switch console with purple Joy-Con controllers. The screen displays the game "Animal Crossing: New Horizons - Happy Home Paradise." Above the left Joy-Con, there is a blue-green arrow pointing towards the console. To the left of the console, the text "You NEED this!" is prominently displayed. The background consists of a light blue pattern with various Animal Crossing character icons.

Coming Up Next…

Next week, the plan is to rank every furniture set in Animal Crossing (probably with some misses, as Tier Maker is wont to do), we’ll give Shino an extreme home makeover, and much more! Make sure to check back here and follow me on social media to stay up to date on all the goings-on.
